This amulet of Buddha Images for Each Day of the Week is released from Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (Wat Doi Suthep) temple in Chiang Mai Province. The temple is 14 kilometers away from the center of Chiang Mai. It is the most important temple in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The original founding of the temple remains a legend; this temple is said to have been founded in 1383 when the first stupa was built. Over time, the temple expanded and was made to look more extravagant, with many more holy shrines added, and the road to the temple was constructed in 1935. The beauty of Wat Doi Suthep is marked by seven-headed serpent statues that line the 309 steps staircase to reach the temple, where a Golden Pagoda and all its exquisite Lanna architecture styles are situated.

 

This amulet can only be obtained at Wat Doi Suthep's temple ground. This Buddha Birth Day amulet does not come with the original temple box. It is inserted in a clear transparent plastic bag.

The Day of Restraint 

The enlightened Buddha stands with their hands crossed over his abdomen (right hand over the left). The Buddha contemplates his achievement of complete knowledge under the Bodhi tree. After enlightenment, the Buddha stood still for seven days under the Bodhi Tree without blinking an eye to contemplate the suffering of all living things. He was tempted to enter Nirvana at once (By Mara), but he wants others to know the true doctrine and resolves to communicate his philosophy to others.

 

The posture of the Buddha is known as "Eyes Giving." This amulet can be a special gift to show your loved one how much you care. It is believed that a person born on Sunday worshipping or wearing the statue of this Buddha will be happy, lucky, peaceful, and prosperous.
