This Phra Yod Khun Pon Buddha (Yod Khun Pon) was made in the year 2009 blessed by Luang Phor Sakorn (LP Sakorn) at Wat Nong Krub temple, located in Rayong Province. LP Sakorn was born on 3rd February 1938. He studied magic and the supernatural with several masters when he was young. Also, he regularly served LP Tim of Wat Lahanrai. As he grew up, he gained possession of supernatural powers, and always wanted to help others. He was ordained at the age of 20 at Wat Nong Krub. Years later, he went to Wat Lahanrai where he became a disciple of LP Tim. LP Sakorn is the only one who succeeds in making amulets from LP Tim, who has demonstrated an exquisite spirituality and incredible Buddhist supernatural powers. He then developed expertise in the supernatural matters that he had learned.
LP Sakorn received advice from the LP Tim to go and study with LP Hin at Wat Nong Sanom, during that time he was blessed by the Venerable Grandfather Hin’s imparting of his knowledge. After his study of the supernatural with LP Hin, LP Sakorn traveled to further his study with LP Som at Wat Banchong temple until its completion. LP Sakorn studied with various and many great masters in the use of supernatural powers including both monks and laymen. In 1965, LP Kliangtham, the Abbot of Wat Nong Krub temple passed away and the inhabitants of Nong Krub traveled to see LP Tim at Wat Lahanrai in order to entreat for the return of LP Sakorn to become the Abbot of Wat Nong Krub. Even though LP Sakorn had become the Abbot of Wat Nong Krub.

That is why Yod Khun Pon is depicted in 2 different postures, one with cross-legged sitting position, and another in a standing position with Heavenly Deities (Devas) beside. However, there is no difference between the sitting and the standing postures.
