Phra Avalokiteshvara is one of the most widely known and revered Bodhisattvas in Mahayana Buddhism. His iconic representations vary widely across different beliefs. In Tibet, he is known as Chenrezig. In Chinese Buddhism, the concept of Avalokiteshvara evolved into the female deity Guan Yin. In Nepal Mandala, he is known as Janabahadyah or Karunamaya.
