The belief in worshipping the "Shivalinga" in Shaivism, symbolizing Lord Shiva, the supreme deity in Hinduism, is the origin of the well-known Thai amulet called "Palad Khik." It can be used for various wishes, including great charm (Metta Mahaniyom), wealth, good fortune, drawing the affection of desired individuals, gambling luck, and successful business negotiations. What is difficult to achieve will become easy, and what is already easy will surpass all expectations.

 

The sacred knowledge for creating this 'Pearl of the Forest Palad Khik' was passed down directly to Archan Ong-art Seengam by Archan Harn On-ta, a renowned lay master of Sak Yant from Phetchabun Province. This precious material was meticulously carved into the form of a Palad Khik, imbued with a secret knowledge graciously transmitted by revered ancient masters. It is inscribed with sacred Yantra and Isaan Dhamma (Northeastern Thai Dhamma) language Kathas all around. 

 

The consecration process took place over the entire Trimas (three-month Buddhist Lent) of B.E. 2567 (2024 CE), utilizing ancient spells inherited from his learned masters. It is renowned for its great powers in charm and popularity, business prosperity, invulnerability, and protection from all negative influences, preventing malevolent magic from entering.

 

The Belief in Elephant Tusks. According to ancient beliefs, elephant tusks are considered a type of powerful sacred object. They are so precious that people have called them "Pearls of the Wilderness." They possess hidden mystical powers and inherent magical potency. In ancient times, it was believed that elephant tusks had their own inherent power even without prior consecration. They are sacred objects with innate mystical and potent properties.

 

People who frequently ventured into forests and encountered mysterious phenomena often sought them to counteract bad omens when traveling in mountainous or forested areas. This also includes protection against ill winds, curses, orally administered poison, and black magic. People in the Northeastern region of Thailand traditionally dip elephant tusks into food or drinks before consumption to cleanse them of any malevolent influences that might be targeting them, thereby warding off all aforementioned dangers.
