This amulet of Luang Phor Tuad (LP Tuad) was released by Wat Sai Khao, located in Pattani Province. In early history, a great monk named Archan Nong was in the temple. At an earlier time, Wat Sai Khao temple was just an ordinary Buddhist temple to serve the local villagers' religious and spiritual needs. Archan Nong decided to organize and conduct Buddhist events by raising funds from local villagers and devotees to maintain and renovate the existing Uposatha (Shrine) Hall, the most important building in the monastery.
That is where ordinations and other official acts of the Order take place, and the Buddha images are located for the benefit of the public. During Archan Nong's supervision, Wat Sai Khao became a famous temple in Southern Thailand. His name will be respected eternally by the local folks in Pattani but to all of Thailand and many international devotees. Archan Nong is most famous for making the amulets of LP Tuad, of which he has created over 40 editions during his lifetime. He is a Great Master in Southern Thailand. Most of his amulets were empowered with holiness.
Because of his consecrated prayer and meditation power, his LP Tuad amulet is reputed to be the most popular amulet among Buddhist collectors. People knew Archan Nong's charms were famous for protecting the owner from accidents and evil spirits. Archan Nong amulet, with the image of LP Thud, is also very famous and has been gaining popularity in Thailand and neighboring countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, and various countries. It is recorded that LP Tuad is an Arahant, and Thai folks named him the "God of Vehicles."
Almost every house will enshrine an LP Tuad statue and carry or place one in their car. Wat Sai Khao was built in 1757, and according to the history of Wat Sai Khao, Mr. Than Pakdichumpol donated the land and money to build the temple. Wat Sai Khao was established in 1889 and passed the Pook Pattasima ceremony in 1892. After the construction of Wat Sai Khao, six abbots took up residence; the first was Luang Phor Man, and the other was Luang Phor Peng, a direct disciple of Archan Nong.
Wat Sai Khao has been continuously developed, with many buildings renovated, such as the Shrine hall, library, monks' residences, etc. Archan Nong was one of two famous monks who made the amulet of Luang Phor Tuad of Wat Chang Hai. The other renowned monk was the late Phra Archan Tim. Eventually, Archan Nong passed away on September 11th, 2000, at Kokbhoti Hospital. He passed away in the year 2000 on September 11th at 80. He spent 60 years devoted to Buddhism.
