Biography of Luang Phor Thong Suttasilo:
Luang Phor Thong Suttasilo was ordained as a monk at Wat Sa Kaeo, Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, when he was 22 years old in 2514 BE (1971 CE). In the same year, Luang Phor Thong Suttasilo came to reside at Wat Sri Kaeo, Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. At that time, Luang Phor Thaeo was the abbot, and Luang Phor Koon was a resident monk.
Luang Phor Koon observed that Luang Phor Thong had a good disposition, was quiet and reserved, rarely spoke, was humble and gentle, well-behaved, and extremely dedicated to his duties. Therefore, Luang Phor Koon imparted his knowledge and sacred incantations, including the art of inscribing various characters on takruts and yants. From that moment on, Luang Phor Thong was regarded as his disciple.
Wherever Luang Phor Koon went, he would bring Luang Phor Thong along. Luang Phor Koon had disciples all over the country, but the one he directly taught and accepted as his principal disciple was "Luang Phor Thong Suttasilo." He was the monk Luang Phor Koon trusted the most. Currently, Luang Phor Thong Suttasilo has returned to practice Dhamma at Wat Ban Rai, following in the footsteps of his master, Luang Phor Koon Parisuttho. As of 2563 BE (2020 CE), he is 71 years old and has been a monk for 49 Phansa (Buddhist Lent periods).
