Chao Khun Nor was born on Saturday, 5th February 1897, and was the eldest in a family of 5 siblings. He was among the first students at the University of the Siam Kingdom. After completing his studies, Chao Khun Nor became an officer in the King's Palace, then ruled by the 6th King of Thailand. He became the closest attendant to the King, moved to the King's chamber, and attended to his daily needs. After the death of the 6th King, He left the palace. Chao Khun Nor was ordained on 23rd March 1925 at Wat Thepsirintahwaht, a day before the 6th King was cremated.
Chao Khun Nor was a strict vegetarian who consumed only one meal daily and decided to stay in monkhood. He became a Tam Boon (Giving Merit) monk for the 6th King. He was ordained by Somdej Phra Putta Koshacharn (Charoen), also his preceptor. Chao Khun Nor learned the Dhamma from Phra Putwiriyaaigon, the abbot of Wat Sommanatwihahn, and Phra Udon Seelahkon of Wat Dhepsirin. Many reports of strange incidents happened when Chao Khun Nor made incantations. Chao Khun Nor passed away on 8th January 1971 at 74 after leading a strict and disciplined lifestyle for 46 years.
Although Chao Khun Nor has passed away, he is still fondly remembered today and is immortalized in the hearts of many people. He remains one of the most renowned and respected monks in Thailand. From the incidents above, which different people experienced at other times, there is a widespread belief that Chao Khun Nor had achieved a very high level of spiritual attainment and could know and read people's minds. It is widely believed that Chao Khun Nor could accurately predict the future by looking at palm lines that predict the future.
