Amulet City is acting on behalf of Ruamkatanyu Foundation, Yi De Tang (義德堂), with non-financial benefits. I provide this additional service as a form of merit-making for unclaimed bodies of the dead and as part of charity work and a kind of righteous act. A gift in memory of someone who's died is a benefit of doing good deeds for others. It is an excellent contribution to the death in their memory, and their loved ones will probably appreciate it.
Coffin donation is considered a form of merit-making for Buddhists in Thailand. Most are unclaimed or unidentified bodies and bodies from the poor who cannot afford a coffin with proper funeral rites and rituals after death. Many donors donate in their loved one's name or by making specific requests.
