Luang Phor Yeam is a leading senior monk in Thailand, the sole direct disciple of Luang Phor Tae Kongthong.

Luang Phor Yaem is a famous monk of Wat Sam Ngam, Nakhon Pathom Province. He has widely known magical powers, famous throughout all directions, both domestically and internationally in East Asia. He is recognized and honored for his sacred amulets, such as Tiger Forehead Takruts, Single Takruts, Bia Kae, and most famously, Kuman Thong.

Luang Phor Yaem passed away on August 27, 2017, at 102, having been in the monkhood for 82 years. He holds the position of abbot of Wat Sam Ngam, Don Tum District, Nakhon Pathom Province. He was born on January 5, 1915, into the Detmak family, residing at house number 42, Moo 4, Don Tum Subdistrict, Bang Len District, Nakhon Pathom Province. His father's name was Mr. Yaem, and his mother's name was Mrs. Wong Detmak.

Luang Phor Yaem was ordained as a novice and a monk at Wat Sam Ngam on May 2, 1938, with Luang Pu Suk Pathumsuwanno of Wat Huai Chorakhe as his preceptor and Phra Athikan Tae Kongthong as his ecclesiastical professor. He studied Buddhist doctrine and passed the Tri Dhamma examination. He also studied Vipassana meditation, learned magical sciences, and studied ancient Khmer script, various yantra, astrology, and traditional medicine with Luang Phor Tae Kongthong as his teacher, fully imparting his magical knowledge.

In his youth, he liked to go on pilgrimages in the forests and mountains, seeking solitude for dharma practice and exchanging knowledge with various teachers from different schools, such as Luang Phor Luea of Wat Sao Cha-ngok, Chachoengsao Province, etc. He shared the duties of Luang Phor Tae, his teacher, by being a close disciple, earning his trust, and being appointed as the deputy abbot of Wat Sam Ngam, following his teacher's footsteps in all aspects of community development and monastic duties to this day.

Luang Phor Yaem is a famous monk, and his most popular amulet is Kuman Thong. He is a monk who adheres to the precepts and dharma, practicing according to the teachings of his masters, a model of a virtuous monk, and a monk who should be honored as an auspicious figure for Thai Buddhism.
